Thiruvananthapuram city

Allappuzha Backwater

Periyar Wildife Sanctuary
Visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and witness Mother Nature at her best. This celebrated wildlife sanctuary of Kerala is located in the high mountains of Western Ghats near the Tamil Nadu border and stretches to two districts of the state namely Idukki and Pathanamthitta. It serves as a home to various kinds of rare animals namely Elephants, Gaur, Sambar (horse deer), Barking deer, Mouse deer, Dholes (Indian wild dogs), Mongoose, Foxes and Leopards. Also inhabiting the park, though rarely seen, are the elusive Nilgiri tahr. The bird life includes darters, cormorants, kingfishers, the great Malabar hornbill and racket-tailed Drongos etc.
Munnar Hill Station

This beautiful and salubrious hill station is positioned at the confluence of three mountain streams namely Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundalan.
